VANO SIRADEGHIAN'S REGISTRATION AS DEPUTY CANDIDATE ADJOURNED TO 15 DAYS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Making decision on registration of former Armenian Minister of Internal Affairs, informal leader of «Pan-Armenian national movement» former ruling party Vano Siradeghian is adjourned. Visa and passport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has appealed against the decision of the court of first instance, which had obliged to issue a reference that Siradeghian lived in Armenia. As it is known, residential qualification of deputy candidates is provided for by the current legislation. At the same time Siradeghian has already been hiding from law-enforcement bodies for two years. The ex-minister is wanted by the international police and it is not known where he is at present. Within 15 days the court of appeal has to ascertain the extent of lawfulness of the verdict of the first instance court, which had decided that there was no ground to refuse issuing a reference that Siradeghian permanently resided in the country before April 2000 to the persons empowered to act for him. Let us remind that additional parliamentary elections in 75-th electoral district are planned May 19.
