Best gold salons import 500 grams of gold each month
Best gold salons in Armenia import up to 500 grams of gold each month. This figure is beyond logic, said Ishkhan Zakaryan, chairman of RA control chamber.
"At that, official import index is minimal. For example, Prima Gold reported 542 grams of gold import in 2008, Giani said it imported 17 grams in 2007 and 0 grams in 2008. Such disgraceful practices can't go on any longer," Zakaryan said.
At that he remarked that several kilos of gold may be bought for a rich Armenian wedding party.
