WINNER OF TENDER FOR RIGHT TO BROADCAST ON 35 DECIMETRIC FREQUENCY IS «SHOGHAKAT» COMPANY ENGAGED IN PROPAGANDA OF CHRISTIAN CHURCH TRADITIONS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The national commission on television and radio has reached a decision on giving «Shoghakat» company the right to broadcast on 35 decimetric frequency. It should be noted that «Shoghakat» company is famous for its activities in the sphere of propaganda of the religion and traditions of the Armenian Apostolic church. Its opponent in the tender was «Noyan Tapan» company, established by the news agency of the same name. «Noyan Tapan» Director Tigran Arutyunian thinks, giving preference to «Shoghakat» TV Company, the National commission has violated the law on telecommunications. He appeals to the clause of the law that prohibits the giving of the right of broadcasting to religious organizations among which «Shoghakat» is. (In fact, the company is a limited company) Besides the law stipulates that TV channel can not be financed by the religious organizations.
