Armenia will never sign any document casting doubt on the fact of Armenian Genocide

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Initialed protocols and process of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations" hearing opened in RA parliament on October 1.

Opening the session, National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan said that Armenia will never sign any document casting doubt on the fact of Armenian Genocide.

"We will not sign any document rejecting the right of Nagorno Karabakh to self-determination either,' he said. "Normalization process and Karabakh resolution are different processes."

For his part, chairman of parliamentary committee for external relations Armen Rustamyan said that Turkey may easily link resolution of Karabakh problem to normalization process in future.

"Signing these protocols, Armenia will deprive itself of the possibility to challenge Treaty of Kars and will jeopardize the process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide," he said.
