ARMENIAN EX-MINISTER OF INTERNAL AFFAIRS ACCUSED OF ORGANIZATION OF ASSASSINATIONS TO RUN FOR PARLIAMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian ex-minister of internal affairs, once ruling «Armenian national movement» party leader Vano Siradeghian, who is under international search for the accusation of a number of grave crimes, has nominated himself for additional parliamentary elections. He has confirmed his intention to run for the parliament with the fax sent to the «ANM» headquarters. Siradeghian was a deputy representing the same district, which he intends to represent. According to the law he was deprived of the mandate for being absent at the half of the meeting of the last parliamentary sessions due to not acceptable reasons. Writers' union chair Levon Ananian, Custom committee official Hovik Abovian and «Armelectromach» large industrial enterprise leader Ilyich Beglarian are the ex-minister opponents. The elections will take place May 19.
