SOME BAKU POLITICIANS CONSIDER STATIONING US ARMED FORCE IN AZERBAIJAN WILL NEGATIVELY TELL ON KARABAKH SETTLEMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - 28 out of the 92 Azeri politicians interrogated consider the possible stationing of US armed forces in Azerbaijan will negatively tell on the Karabakh conflict settlement. According to Baku media, as reported by "Arminfo" agency, on the contrary, 62 interviewees suppose stationing US armed forces in Azerbaijan will have a positive impact on "liberation of the seized territories." Members of the Azeri parliament and leaders of political parties are among those questioned by "Program of Caucasus security monitoring" non-governmental organization. In the opinion of vast majority of respondents, US military presence aims at limiting Russian influence in the Caucasus. Most of them consider the US is trying to increase pressure on Iran that way.
