Heritage Party not aware what struggle it started

PanARMENIAN.Net -
"We started the "No" protest movement in order to prevent the ratification of the Armenian-Turkish Protocols by the Armenian parliament in their current form," Armen Rustamyan, representative of the ARFD Supreme Body told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

According to Rustamyan, earlier ARFD disseminated a leaflet, proposing to amend the existing protocols in order to prevent the preconditions of the Turkish side. "We said that Dashnaktsutyun will favor the ratification of the Protocols, only if the Armenian leadership would accept our suggestions," ARFD parliamentary group MP said. According to Rustamyan, the proposed changes in the protocols will neutralize all existing threats to Armenia. "If "Heritage" is against protocols with reservations we suggest, it would be out of the logic of the struggle we started together, “Armen Rustamyan said.

According to Rustamyan, the Heritage party did not realize what kind of struggle it started. Rustamyan stressed that the ARFD parliamentary group will soon issue a bill to make amendments to the NA Rules of Procedure in order to entitle the Parliament to do reservations. "If this bill does not pass, we will require the President to submit the Protocols with reservations to the National Assembly. If that fails as well, we would try to kill the ratification process," he said.
