Over thirty high-ranking officials of the Pentagon accompanied the minister. At the talks the Azerbaijani part was represented by President Heydar Aliyev, defense minister Safar Abiyev and foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev. According to «Turan» agency information, Rumsfeld came to Baku with concrete suggestions regarding expansion of the military cooperation.
