ROMANIA'S PRESIDENT TO ARRIVE IN YEREVAN OCTOBER 31

PanARMENIAN.Net - The dates of Romania's President to Armenia were determined. Ion Iliyesku will arrive in Yerevan October 31. As it has been informed, the visit of the President was planned on October 8 but it was delayed because of the antiterrorist operation beginning in Afghanistan. The delay was due to the fact that Romania is the chairing country in the OSCE at the present time and this makes its leader responsible for the security of the countries of Europe. Romania's head will meet with Robert Kocharyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II, the chairman of the National assembly Armen Khachatryan, the heads of the parliamentarian commissions and deputy groups during his visit. There will also be negotiations. At the two-day visit, three intergovernmental agreements on the cooperation in spheres of culture, education, science and tourism, on the joint struggle against terrorism, drug business and illegal migration and on customs regulations will be signed. The meetings of Roman delegation with students and the teaching staff of Yerevan State University as well as the representatives of business circles of Armenia are planned. Ion Iliyesku will place wreath at the memorial of genocide victims. It should be reminded that this the second visit of Romania's President to Armenia.
