Yerevan’s court opens hearing on Nubarashen school students’ rape case

PanARMENIAN.Net - Nubarashen and Erebuni regular court opened hearing on Nubarashen school students’ rape case.

Over 30 people gathered in front of the courthouse to raise their voices in condemnation of child rape.

Criminal case was instigated after human rights activist Mariam Sukhudyan reported incidences of neglect, violence and sexual abuse towards the children with mental disabilities in No.11 Nubarashen school. Proceedings have been instigated against Armenian language and literature teacher Levon Avagyan for “committing immoral acts”, with maximum punishment of 3 years.
