NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC UNION SPLIT INTO FOUR PARTS
Sunday the session of the followers of one of the inner-Party wings of National Democratic Union that was influential once took place. (Founder and permanent leader of the party is first Prime Minister of independent Armenia, «Karabakh» committee coordinator Vazgen Manukyan.) The party delegates stated this meeting was the special 13 session of NDU, although the party leadership called this event illegal. The session marked the final split of the National Democratic Party: it was decided to establish a new party by the majority. This is already the third split of NDU. The first members to leave were the followers of the chairman of parliamentary committee for science, culture and education Shavarsh Kocharyan, who, along with them, established a new National Democratic Party. Then the associates of the National assembly deputy Arshak Sadoyan left and established a party called National Democratic alliance. What can be called the last split of NDU is not known yet. According to some information, the informal leader of the initiators of the new split is ex-member of NDU leadership, minister of the state property management David Vartanyan.
