The reports about 6000 Armenians exiled from Turkey over the past 3 years are false, an Armenian official said.

“During the past 10 years, around 5000 Armenians went to Turkey and returned after a while. Speaking about 70000 illegal Armenian migrants, Turkish Prime Minister has overstated the figure,” Irina Davtyan, deputy head of the migration agency at the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration, told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Earlier, some Turkish media circulated reports that 5909 Armenians were deported from Turkey over the recent 3-4 years.
