Peter Semneby: recent incident in Karabakh must be in international community’s focus of attention![]() June 21, 2010 - 16:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On June 21, RA National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Artur Baghdasaryan met with EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus Peter Semneby. At the meeting, parties discussed EA-EU 2009-2011 action programs, RA NSC Secretary expressing Armenia’s readiness to actively implement reforms envisaged by European Neighborhood action program. The parties also exchanged views on Karabakh conflict, dwelling on Azerbaijan’s provocative actions. As Artur Baghdasaryan emphasized, suchlike diversions as well as Azeri militaristic statements, should by condemned by international community to prevent their recurrence. Peter Semneby, in turn, expressed concern over recent events, stressing that the incident in Karabakh must be in international community’s focus of attention. Dwelling on European Parliaments report on South Caucasus, Baghdasaryan noted that one-sided the reports and statements, based on unreliable information, are casting a shadow on peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict, RA NSC press service reported. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
