Tigran Nalbandyan wins international chess tournament in Dortmund

PanARMENIAN.Net - GM Tigran Nalbandyan won an international tournament held with participation of 92 chess players in Dortmund, Germany. Nalbandyan edged out Thomas Henrichs (Germany) and Mikhail Zaitsev (Russia) on tie-break after all finished on 7/9.

Karen Movsisyan scored 4.5 points out of 5 possible in an international chess tournament in Sitges, Spain. He is only half a point behind leader GM Barsov (Uzbekistan).

Meanwhile, Zaven Andriasyan scored 5.5 points out of 8 possible before the last round of a tournament held in Balaguer, Spain. Andriasyan is one point behind the tournament leader. Hrant Melkumyan scored 5 points.

Arthur Gabrielyan and Sergey Kasparov scored 3.5 points each out of 4 possible in an international tournament with participation of 310 chess players in Pardubice, the Czech Republic. The Armenian chess players are only half a point behind the tournament leaders, armchess.am reported.
