Serzh Sargysan concerned over non-inclusion of Armenian refugees in UN refugee program

PanARMENIAN.Net - On August 24, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met with the Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Damtew Dessalegne.

Hailing 20 years’ cooperation between the Armenian government and UN High Commissioner’s office, President Sargsyan noted that despite the work carried out, many refugees still live in temporary residences, and emphasized the necessity of ongoing cooperation for housing all refugees.

The two men also referred to joint projects, including 2011 donors’ conference to host UN High Commissioner for Refugees.

Armenian President also addressed the issue of refugees residing in NKR, expressing concern over their non-inclusion in UN refugee assistance program, presidential press service reported.
