SCPEC presents 2010-2012 strategyOctober 22, 2010 - 12:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition of Armenia (SCPEC) has presented a new 2010-2012 mid-term strategy developed by the government sector, international institutions and consumer rights advocating NGOs. SCPEC chairman Artak Shaboyan briefed on the main trends of the strategy, including events aimed to raise public awareness, which will allow develop fair competition in Armenia. Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan Sergey Kapinos noted for his part that the document is meant to improve market conditions in the republic. According to GTZ Coordination Office Armenia Country Director James Macbeth, the strategy is ambitious but practicable. ![]() ![]() Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
