Interparliamentary cooperation and intensification of mutual visits, normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations and resolution of regional conflicts were in the focus of the meeting. “Thanks to the friendly attitude of the Syrian people the Armenian community preserved national identity and culture. Flourishing Armenian community is the best evidence of dialogue between the Christian ands Muslim civilizations,” Abrahamyan said. Referring to Nagorno Karabakh conflict, the two men emphasized the importance of a peaceful resolution. “Wars bring nothing but human and material losses,” the Armenian speaker said. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert.
