OSCE MG doesn’t yield to Azerbaijan's pressure in territorial integrity issue

Professor Ruben Safrastyan, director of the Oriental Studies Institute at Armenian National Academy of Sciences commented on joint statement adopted by the Heads of Delegation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries and the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders in Astana.

“Nothing out of the ordinary happened in Astana. As expected, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries adopted a document which came as a result of continuous work of Minsk Group.”

As he noted, the document will serve as a basis for OSCE MG further activities. “The document does not single out a specific international principle, which is important, considering Baku’s desperate attempts to impose the priority of territorial integrity principle on the international community,” the expert stressed, adding, “however, OSCE MG did not yield to Azerbaijan's pressure in the issue.”
