AS OF 7:00 P.M. ARMENIAN CENTRAL ELECTORAL COMMISSION CONSIDERED 10 OUT OF 13 COMPLAINTS ON PARLIAMENTARY ELECTION

PanARMENIAN.Net - As of 7:00 p.m. the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia had already considered 10 out of the 13 complaints on the parliamentary election. As reported by "Arka" agency, CEC member Pavel Yedigarian stated. In his words, the other 3 complaints are at the stage of consideration. "The complaints specifically express dissatisfaction with ballot-boxes, signatures of members of electoral commissions on ballots and holding an open vote," - P. Yedigarian said. As reported by the CEC member, the number of complaints and applications is much less as compared with the presidential election, which is conditioned by parties' control over each other. "On the whole, the election proceeds normally, which is evidenced by the number of complaints and applications concerning irregularities," - P. Yedigarian said. He also considered the population participation in the election satisfactory, noting grassroots interest is much higher during presidential election. It should be reminded that as of 5:00 p.m., 31% of the total number of constituents had participated in the parliamentary election in Armenia.
