RPA offers candidature of head of ArmRosGazprom Karen Karapetyan for oncoming mayoral elections

PanARMENIAN.Net - The ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has offered the candidature of the head of ArmRosGazprom Karen Karapetyan for the oncoming mayoral elections.

As RPA secretary Eduard Sharmazanov told PanARMENIAN.Net the resolution was taken as a result of lasting discussions at the Party Council.

Mayoral elections are set for December 17.

Yerevan Mayor Gagik Beglaryan resigned his position on December 8. The decision was prompted by the incident between the Mayor and employee of the presidential staff’s protocol department Aram Kandayan.
