CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF ARMENIA EXPECTS CLAIM SPATE FROM CONTENDERS AND PARRIES NOT PLEASED ELECTION RESULTS

PanARMENIAN.Net - I do nor rule out the possibility that the Armenian Constitutional Court (CC) will have a great amount of additional work after today's parliamentary election. CC chairman Gagik Harutyunyan stated today after the election, having explained it by the fact that "more than 20 parties and blocs participate in the election, each of them having big expectations". If we sum up all the forecasts of the parties, we will receive a figure exceeding 300% grade", - he noted, adding that after the announcement of the results their reaction will be adequate to their expectations. In CC chairman's words, the main problem is that the claims should be submitted to the CC in 7 days term, with 30 days given for their consideration. So in presence of a large number of claims the CC will face objective problems.
