Turkey’s activation in Middle East to rouse Armenian protest

PanARMENIAN.Net - 50 activists of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun youth wing held a protest action at a Turkish textile exhibit in Beirut.

As Aztag Beirut-based newspaper editor Shahan Kandaharian told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the activists circulated booklets telling in English and Arabian about the atrocities of the Ottoman government in 1915-1923. They also called on visitors to prefer Lebanese goods to Turkish ones.

“In response, Turks attacked Armenians, starting a scuffle. No one suffered,” he said, adding that Turkey’s activation in Middle East will inevitably rouse Armenian protest.
