Ragip Zarakolu believes Turkey will recognize Armenian Genocide one day![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Turkey is a matter of honor, a Turkish publisher and human rights activist said. “Recognition will not damage Turkey’s image, as many countries have already recognized this historical fact,” Ragip Zarakolutold a news conference in Yerevan. “To prevent such crimes in the future, the mistakes of the past should be acknowledged,” he emphasized. Commenting on the possibility of compensation, Zarakolunoted that even if Armenia and Turkey come to some agreement, the governments can’t prohibit the heirs of the Genocide survivors to demand indemnities. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult.
