Synopsys eyes Armenia as site where the company’s educational programs are developed

PanARMENIAN.Net - On February 25, the Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly and Board President of the State Engineering University of Armenia (SEUA) Samvel Nikoyan, Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan and SEUA Rector Vostanik Marukhyan paid an official visit to Synopsys Armenia.

The guests visited SEUA “Microelectronic Circuits and Systems” Interfaculty Chair located in Synopsys Armenia Educational Department, and had a tour in Synopsys Armenia R&D Center.

Synopsys Armenia Director Hovik Musayelyan presented company’s activities and achievements. “To Synopsys, Armenia is not only an important regional canter but also a site where educational programs of the company are developed,” he stressed.

Vazgen Melikyan, Director of Synopsys Armenia Educational Department presented the results of the successful cooperation with (SEUA).

During the visit, Armenian Minister of Education and Science characterized the company as a successful example of cooperation between business entity and educational institution, forming a culture in business sphere. “Synopsys Armenia is an example of a company training its own personnel,” he stressed.

Currently, 220 students, most of them from SEUA, are undergoing internships at Synopsys Armenia.
