"FORMATION OF ANTI-ARMENIAN BLOC IN PACE WILL BE A WRONG STEP"

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, April 17. /Mediamax/. Possible formation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) of an "anti-Armenian bloc" by Azeri and Turkish delegations will be a "wrong step", chairman of the permanent parliamentary commission for foreign affairs, head of the Armenian delegation in PACE Hovanes Hovanisian told Mediamax in an interview today.

Hovanisian noted that the 18 votes, which the delegations of Azerbaijan and Turkey have together, cannot affect the adoption of resolutions, contradicting the national interests of Armenia. Besides, we have enough backing in PACE, Hovanisian stressed.

On March 30, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation in PACE, Ilham Aliev declared that the parliamentarians of Turkey and Azerbaijan are going to speak at PACE sessions from common positions. --0--
