TURKEY DOESN'T HAVE A MEDIATING ROLE IN THE KARABAKH PEACE PROCESS, REPRESENTATIVE OF U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT SAID

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, March 21. /Mediamax/. Turkey is not one of the three co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, and it doesn't have a mediating role in the conflict, official representative of the U.S. Department of State Richard Boucher said at a briefing in Washington.

Richard Boucher said Nagorno Karabakh issue will be among the topics discussed at the meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem, who arrives in Washington on March 30.

"Turkey is one of the 12 countries in the Minsk Group and obviously has interest in this region. It is a neighbor to both countries, playing an important role in the process", Boucher said. --0--
