COLIN POWELL AND VARDAN OSKANIAN DISCUSSED PRELIMINARIES FOR THE MEETING OF PRESIDENTS OF ARMENIA AND AZERBAIJAN

PanARMENIAN.Net - YEREVAN, March 21. /Mediamax/. "The Key West talks are another attempt to move this process forward and to narrow the differences", official representative of the U.S. Department of State Richard Boucher said at a briefing in Washington.

Boucher devoted considerable part of his traditional briefing to the subject of the upcoming Armenian-Azeri summit. The American diplomat noted that the U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian talked about the plans for the meetings between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Key West next month.

"It builds upon the direct dialogue that the leaders have had, builds upon the work that they've done recently with President Chirac. We've also seen President Putin supporting the recent efforts to move the process forward", official representative of the U.S. Department of State Richard Boucher said. --0--
