Caroline Cox: I consider myself a friend of Armenian people

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with a British delegation led by Baroness Caroline Cox, former deputy speaker of UK House of Lords.

Nalbandian praised the continuous assistance of Cox to Armenia and Artsakh, as well as her humanitarian activity, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Armenian people.

Cox noted for her part that she has established close ties with Armenia and its people since 1988. “I consider myself friend of Armenian people,” she said, adding that she will continue her activity for boosting the Armenian-British relations.

The Armenian-British ties and cooperation between the two countries parliaments were in the focus of the meeting. The parties also referred to Armenia-EU cooperation, as well as ongoing processes in this format.

At the request of Baroness Cox, Nalbandian briefed on recent developments around the Karabakh conflict settlement, the RA MFA press service reported.
