“Velvet revolution” started, Armenian opposition says![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Levon Zurabyan said that a “velvet revolution” has started in Armenia due to people’s efforts. “ANC has become a factor, which cannot be disregarded, and the authorities now try to establish a dialogue, while ANC have stated about its necessity since March 2008,” Zurabyan told the April 28 opposition rally. He noted that the Armenian authorities try to mislead the people, saying that the congress does not aspire towards the change of power. “ANC programs remain unchanged - we demand organization of pre-term parliamentary and presidential elections,” concluded Zurabyan. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
