THE "THREE" OF EUROUNION WILL VISIT SOUTH CAUCASIAN STATES ON FEBRUARY 20-21

The "Three" of the European Union (EU) - Acting chairperson of EU, Foreign Minister of Sweden Anna Lindh, Secretary General and Supreme representative of EU for foreign policy issues, Javier Solana and EU Commissioner for foreign affairs Chris Patten - will pay an official visit to the South Caucasian region on 20-21 February, Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

On Feb. 20 the EU delegation will visit Armenia, where it will hold meetings with the President of Armenia Robert Kocharian, Speaker of the National Assembly Armen Khachatrian, Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian, as well as with representatives of parliamentary groups and factions. In the course of the visit the delegation will meet with the representatives of regional offices of the OSCE, Council of Europe and EuroUnion.

21 February the EU "Three" will also visit Azerbaijan and Georgia. In the frames of the visits meetings of the members of the delegation with the leadership of Azerbaijan and Georgia is envisaged.

In Azerbaijan the EU delegation will take part in the official ceremony of opening of TRACECA program regional office. -0-
