Armenian stamp among the world’s bestMay 21, 2011 - 10:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The best stamps issued in 2009 have been named in Vienna recently by the organizational committee of Austria’s WIPA Philatelic Exhibition. According to Hay Post’s press service, an Armenian stamp was among the top ten. The stamp was issued on Christmas and depicts Toros Roslin’s miniature “The Birth of Christ.” Stamps from Finland, Lichtenstein, Czech republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Slovakia, Macao and Australia were also on the list. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
