FINAL DOCUMENT WILL BE SIGNED TODAY UPON THE END OF THE ARMENIAN-IRANIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING

PanARMENIAN.Net - 24.01.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today the 3rd meeting of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental coordination commission started in Yerevan.

The co-chairman of the commission, Armenian Energy Minister Karen Galustian noted that this meeting would promote the future enlarging of the Armenian-Iranian cooperation.

The Iranian co-chairman, Minister for Finance and Economy Hussein Namazi said the commission has done considerable work during the last years. He outlined the following achievements of the commission - the start of direct air communications between Armenia and Iran, reconstruction of frontier highways, resumption of work of the frontier trade market, electric power supply, etc.

The concluding protocol will be signed today, upon the end of the meeting. -0-
