On June 29 President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit to Gegharkunik province, according to the RA President’s press office.
Within the framework of the visit, the President attended public beaches on the territory of National Park Sevan, which was created in execution of his order dated Feb. 25, 2011.
The President saw beaches and viewed the work done. Besides, Mr.Sargsyan talked with Miasin movement members which are busy with purifying the public beaches territories.
He also discussed issues of the Lake Sevan with responsible ecology officers, and Chairman of the commission for the Lake Sevan issues, Vladimir Movsisyan, briefed Armenian President on implementations in increasing water level of the lake, provision of water purity, as well as restoration of the ecological system and biodiversity of the lake. The discussion participants touched upon issues regarding to properties’ demounting aimed to increase water level of the lake and purification of territories.
Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan presented works conducted by the council of National Park Sevan.
