Tigran Sargsyan: Armenia enters deflationary stage

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deflation reported in June 2011 proves Armenia’s return to Central Bank of Armenia (CBA)-planned inflation trend, Armenian Prime Minister stated.

As Tigran Sargsyan said at June 30 sitting in Armenia’s Vayots Dzor province, a 1,4% deflation rate suggests Armenia enters a deflationary development stage to last for the 2 months to come.

The head of the National Statistical Service of Armenia Stepan Mnatsakanyan, in turn, presented current data on consumer prices in Armenia. According to information presented, consumer prices index grossed 69,6% in June against May results, while the annual index comprised 108,5%.
