INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE WILL FAVOR KARABAKH SETTLEMENT PROCESS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 29.11.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The Foreign Minister of Nagorno Karabakh Republic Naira Melkumian said at a press conference in Stepanakert that the recognition of the Armenian Genocide by a number of countries is sure to positively affect the Karabakh conflict settlement.

Minister Melkumian stressed that the Karabakh problem is one of the consequences of the Armenian Genocide, as the weakened Armenia couldn't protect its people and preserve its territorial integrity, the correspondent of Mediamax reports. The Foreign Minister also reminded that genocide acts by Turkish troops were realized on Nagorno Karabakh territory as well. -0-
