Armenia, Ireland promote dialogue![]() July 15, 2011 - 12:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On July 14, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Edward Nalbandian made an official visit to Ireland. In Dublin, the Armenian Minister met with representatives of legislative and executive bodies. In the course of the meetings with Vice-Premier, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland Eamon Gilmore , Nalbandian discussed issues of bilateral relations, regional and international problems. Taking into consideration that next year Ireland will assume chairmanship in OSCE, the parties touched upon issues connected with the organization activity. Nalbandian and Gilmore also discussed strengthening of economic cooperation and creation of favorable ground for business circles. Foreign Ministers agreed to undertake concrete steps for promotion of political dialogue and development of trade-economic ties. Before beginning of the meeting, the parties signed an agreement between the governments of Armenia and Ireland on Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Tax Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income and on Property. Gilmore presented priorities of Irish chairmanship, and Nalbandian stated that Armenia will support presidency of this country in the organization. Armenian Foreign Minister presented his Irish colleague the process of Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution. The parties also discussed issues of Armenia-EU cooperation. Thanking for warm reception, Nalbandian invited Gilmore to Yerevan, according to Armenian Foreign Ministry press service. ![]() ![]() Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
