WBO middleweight champ Dmitry Pirog (18-0, 14 KOs) of Russia will make his title defence in early fall in Krasnodar, Russia. Pirog will face his mandatory challenger Gennady Martirosyan (22-2, 11 KOs).
As Martirosyan confessed, he’s taking serious preparations for the clash. “I'll be 100% ready, and let the stronger and smarter person win. Clearly, I'm eager to win; the chance to fight for a champion's title is one in a million,” allboxing.ru cited him as saying.
