OCTOBER 27 IS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED THE MEMORIAL DAY OF THE VICTIMS OF THE TERRORIST ACT IN THE PARLIAMENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - 26.10.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. By the decision of the government of Armenia, October 27 is announced the "Memorial Day" of the victims of the terrorist act of October 27, 1999.

On October 27, 1999 Prime Minister Vazgen Sarkisian, Speaker of the Parliament Karen Demirchian, vice-speakers Yury Bakhshian and Ruben Miroyan, Minister for operative questions Leonard Petrosian, deputies of the parliament Armenak Armenakian, Michael Kotanian, Henrikh Abrahamian became the victims of the terrorist act in the parliament of Armenia.

As was reported to Mediamax in the press service of St. Echmiadzin, the Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II will hold service for the dead on October 29 in memory of the victims of the terrorist act of October 27, 1999.

The trial of the 5 terrorists will start in November-December. At present the relatives of the assassinated, the victims and the terrorists themselves are getting acquainted with the criminal case materials. -0-
