Yerevan to host summer music fest

PanARMENIAN.Net - Yerevan’s Liberty Square will be the venue for Summer Music Festival 2011 to be organized by Vibrographus studio and Yerevan city administration on August 26-28.

“We want Yerevan to be a city of music and festivals,” Vibrographus founder Vardan Grigoryan told a press conference.

Grigoryan refrained from commenting on the budget but said that if an extra funding is needed, he is ready to sell his house.

Rock bands from Denmark, Germany, Italy, Georgia and United States will be participating in this year’s event. Later, it’s planned to attract classical music performers.

“I am hopeful that the number of participants will grow year by year,” Dogma band drummer Derik said.
