Unlike Armenians, foreigner plan their vacation beforehand

PanARMENIAN.Net - The number of users of Armenia’s first online hotel booking system is growing.

“Although the official data will be announced by the end of the year, we know that 70% of those booking hotel apartments through www.armhotels.am are from CIS countries, specifically Russia. Then come the U.S., Canada and European states,” deputy director of TBS company, which launched the website, Liana Movsisyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

“Unlike Armenians, foreigner plan their vacation beforehand,” she said, adding that foreign tourists never stay in one place more than 4 days, as they prefer to see the whole country.

“While Jermuk, Tsaghkadzor, Dilijan and Sevan remain the favorites of local Armenians, foreigners visit all provinces and Nagorno Karabakh as well,” Movsisyan said.

The online booking system was launched on March 4, offering coordinated tourists services ad allowing booking apartments in more than 100 hotels in Yerevan and NKR. Payments are exercised through Moneybookers and ArCа.
