Elina Danielian loses FIDE Grand Prix 6th round

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian grandmaster Elina Danielian has lost her 6th round game against GM Zhu Chen of Qatar in the second tournament of FIDE Women’s Grand Prix going on in Shenzhen, China.

Danielian, currently 11th with 1.5 points, will face IM Ekaterina Kovalevskaya of Russia (12th with 1.5 points) in the next round.

GM Zhao Xue of China is leading the tournament with 4 points.

The FIDE Women Grand Prix is a series of elite tournaments which will be organized by FIDE and Global Chess. There will be 6 stages over two years in various countries around the world with three tournaments every year.

The winner of each tournament will win 6,500 euros out of a prize fund of 40,000 euros and the overall winner of the series will win a further 15,000 euros at the end of the series.
