Iranian parliamentary delegation to visit Vatican

PanARMENIAN.Net - An Iranian parliamentary delegation, formed of four clergy MPs, will leave Tehran for a five-day visit to the Vatican on September 26 night, Fars News Agency reported.

All four are members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament's) group. During the trip, the Iranian delegation is due to attend meetings with top Vatican officials and élites to discuss religion, relations among divine religions and other issues of mutual interest.

The Iranian delegation will also pay visits to several academic and scientific centers in the Vatican.

In June, the Vatican sent Archbishop Edmond Farhat to Tehran to attend the international anti-terrorism conference.
