PM OF ARMENIA HAS MET WITH RUSSIAN FRONTIER GUARDS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 29.08.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. Today the Armenian Premier Andranik Margarian received the Russian officers, reinforced the staff of stationed in Armenia operative group of the Federal Frontier Service of Russia, was reported to MEDIAMAX in the press service of the government of the country.

Congratulating the officers on the beginning of their service in Armenia, Premier Margarian said that being strategic partners, Armenia and Russia have good traditions of joint defense of Armenian and CIS borders.

Lieutenant-General Mikhail Naymilo thanked the premier on behalf of the Russian officers, serving in Armenia, for the attention and concern of the Armenian government. He assured that the frontier guards will continue the long-term traditions and apply their experience in the matter of providing the safety of the borders of Armenia and CIS in the future. -0-
