ARMENIA AND RNK RELEASE SIX AZERI WAR PRISONERS

PanARMENIAN.Net - 17.07.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The authorities of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh released today 4 Azerbaijani was prisoners. 2 prisoners were also released by the authorities of Armenia. The Chairperson-in-Office of the OSCE, Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Ferrero-Waldner declared this today at the press conference.

It became known to MEDIAMAX that the war prisoners will be transferred to Baku tomorrow morning by a UN airplane. Assessing this step of the authorities of RNK and Armenia, Ms. Ferrero-Waldner said: "This is great news, which I am sure will help the formation of atmosphere of trust between the conflicting sides". The Chairperson-in-Office said that she has met with several of the released prisoners, while the rest are now on their way to Armenia from RNK. -0-
