Ankara statements on protocols render its principles questionable - Nalbandian

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with Danish parliament speaker Mogens Lykketoft as part of his official visit to Denmark.

The parties discussed strengthening bilateral ties through activation of interparliamentary cooperation, with Minister Nalbandian briefing Mr. Lykketoft on priority trends in Armenia’s foreign policy.

Foreign Minister further met with Danish State Secretary for Trade and Strategy Lars Thuesen to discuss expansion of economic ties.

In the framework of his visit, Mr. Nalbandian delivered a speech at Danish Association for International Cooperation. When asked to comment on official Ankara’s statements on suspension of Armenia-Turkey protocols ratification as well as uncoordinated points in the document, the Foreign Minister noted, “Turkish remarks on uncoordinated points rendered their principles of document signing rather questionable. I doubt any agreement can be signed without prior coordination of every issue.”
