ANC member dubs ruling coalition political nonsense![]() December 8, 2011 - 13:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A member of Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc dubbed the country’s ruling coalition political nonsense. As David Shahnazaryan told a news conference in Yerevan, in no other country would the party with the majority of parliamentary seats form a coalition. As the oppositionist noted, the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) only needs the coalition to shift part of its responsibilities on other political forces. “All of former and current coalition members, except Heritage, have responsibilities on their shoulders, but also cushy positions, and therefore, shared values,” he noted. Current ruling coalition was formed in March 2008 to unite RPA, Prosperous Armenia, Orinats Yerkir and ARF Dashnaktsutyun. In April 2009, ARFD left the coalition, protesting against signing of Armenian-Turkish Protocols. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution. President of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan met with the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova. ![]() ![]() Partner news | ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
