Only Russians disapprove of Arab Spring

PanARMENIAN.Net - Popular uprisings in Middle East countries and North Africa known as Arab Spring are overwhelmingly well met by the international community, with the exception of Russia, according to a BBC poll that covered 21 thousand people from 22 countries.

Western Europe seems to be particularly hopeful about it with 75 percent of Germans and French supporting it.

Russia appeared to be the only country where the public opinion went against the Arab Spring: 43 percent of surveyed Russians disapproved of the process and 31 reflected positively about it.

The opinion poll was held before the downfall of the Muammar Gaddafi regime.
