MIKHAIL SAHAKASHVILI NOMINATED FOR GEORGIAN PRESIDENT

PanARMENIAN.Net - Leader of "National Movement" party Mikhail Sahakashvili is nominated as a united candidate for the president of Georgia from "Burjanadze-Democrats" and "National Movement" parties. "I am ready to the victory at the presidential election," he stated. In his words, the main task at the current stage is to settle relations with all Georgian regions, especially with Adjaria. Besides, Sahakashvili noted, it is necessary to settle relations with neighbor countries, especially with Russia, which played a huge positive role in the latest events in Georgia. It should be reminded that presidential election is planned January 4. According to forecasts made today by ex-president of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze, the other two leaders of the former opposition - Nino Burjanadze and Zurab Zhvania - will assume the offices of parliament speaker and state minister of Georgia.
