Turkish police detained 24 people in anti-KCK operation

PanARMENIAN.Net - Police detained 24 people in an operation carried out against the Kurdish Communities Union (KCK), a political umbrella organization that includes the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), in Şırnak's Cizre district on Tuesday, Jan 24.

According to the Cizre Police Department, simultaneous raids were carried out by counterterrorism units in a number of places in Cizre in the morning hours of Tuesday, under directions from the Diyarbakır Specially Authorized Deputy Public Prosecutor's Office, which is currently conducting an investigation into the KCK.

Police have begun interrogating the suspects who were detained during the raids, Today’s Zaman reported.
