Moscow hosted a meeting between Vladimir Putin’s campaign manager Stanislav Govorukhin and representatives of Armenian community in Russia.
“We don’t even think of voting for another candidate. Putin demonstrates respect for Armenia and Armenians residing and working in Russia,” Hero of the Russian Federation Artur Chilingarov said.
“Russia may count on Russian Armenians. We understand the need of stability and development in the country that may be secured only by Putin,” Russian media reports quoted Chilingarov as saying.
“Thanks to Putn, there is great progress in Armenian-Russian ties, also in the field of military cooperation,” the head of the Union of Armenians of Russia Ara Abrahamyan stated, calling on Armenians in Russia to endorse Russian Prime Minister’s candidacy in forthcoming presidential race.
